A Big Play
Superior starting pitching was a hallmark of the 2006 American League West champions, but a twenty-first-inning error led to four unearned pitches and an Opening Day loss to the host Mariners on Monday. They just need to drown their injury in the game. A demonstrably solid bullpen helped define the 2006 club, too, but the 5 most peerless members of that unit were the primary culprits in Tuesday's six-4 missed opportunity at Safeco winner's circle. I don't know.
